PDX Tree Service Inc. was founded in 2017 by Valeria Vick (President) and Josiah Vick (Lead Arborist & Estimator), with the early support of Jordan Vick (Josiah’s brother), and Brigham (Valeria’s brother). What began as a family effort has grown into a trusted name in professional tree care across the Willamette Valley.
We started this company after recognizing a clear need in the market: a tree service focused not just on cutting trees, but on functional, long-term tree care. Our approach combines local, hands-on experience with formal arboricultural training. Josiah is an ISA Certified Arborist, Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) professional, and Wildfire Risk Reduction Qualified with years of experience handling some of the most complex removals in the Portland metro area.
Our vision has always been to apply best industry practices, adapted to the unique, tree-rich growth conditions of the Willamette Valley. We believe that tree care isn’t just a service—it’s a promise. That makes prioritizing client trust, safety, and satisfaction second nature.
As a woman-led, family-run company, we’re proud to offer professional tree care with a personal touch, serving homeowners, contractors, and public agencies alike.
At PDX Tree Service, our mission is to provide expert, ethical, and professional tree care rooted in family values, safety, and a deep respect for the Willamette Valley’s unique urban forest. As a licensed arborist company specializing in crane-assisted tree removal, we have the experience, advanced equipment, and expertise to handle complex and hazardous tree removal projects that many traditional tree service companies cannot. We combine specialized techniques with industry best practices to deliver safe, reliable tree care while protecting our customers’ properties and building lasting relationships through honesty, integrity, and exceptional workmanship.
PDX Tree Service is proudly family-owned and operated, built from the ground up by Valeria and Josiah Vick, with support from their brothers and extended family. From the very beginning, our values have been shaped by the trust, accountability, and hard work that only a close-knit team can offer.
Being family-run means we take a hands-on approach to every aspect of the business—from consultations and estimates to job site execution and customer care. We don’t just stand behind our name—we work under it. Every job is personal, and every client is treated like a neighbor, not a number.
